About the event
Join us for an afternoon with the bees! We will open up a hive for a routine inspection where you'll be able to see the girls hard at work. Local beekeeper Justin Domingus from Bees & Greens (https://beesandgreens.com/) will cover the different roles bees take in the colony, how they make honey, and share some things you can do to help out our critical pollinators. You'll also be able to sample some fresh honey straight from the comb! We will provide beekeeping veils, but please wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, and bring a long-sleeved shirt. We don't anticipate anyone getting stung, but it can happen, so please skip this one if you are allergic.
After our bee demonstration we will enjoy hand crafted cocktails and mocktails featuring local honey and other farm ingredients.
